IFSM 201
is the basic computer science course for the University of Maryland. It
focusses on the role of computers in society rather than on how to use the
computer as an individual. The CAPP 100 seminar series focusses on actual
computer use.
Syllabi
for most of these are available at my University of Maryland web site.
The
Internet Scavenger Hunt
is designed to teach people how to use the web once they have mastered the
basic parts of the browser. The
Personal Web Page Tutorial
deals more with design than with actual construction of a web page, but design
needs to precede construction.
Dangerous experimental Java applets and downloadables will be confined to the
Java Lab. It is empty at the moment.
