Abigail Cooper

Age: 28
Nemesis: John Latham, master criminal
Common Aliases: Abraham Clark, Fritz Schmidt, Annabel Davis

Background

Abigail was left as an infant on the doorstep of Mrs. Hubbard's Girls' School. The kindly schoolmistress named the child and raised her to adulthood. Abigail was a strange girl, fond of dressing up in costume and imitating voices. Mrs. Hubbard lived in dread that Abigail would take to the stage when she grew up but to her relief, Abigail did well at her studies, especially in geography and languages. After she finished school, Abigail went to work for Lady Ravensworth as a governess. She used her talents as a disguise artist and actress to go undercover to help Lady Ravensworth with a blackmailer (John Latham). Lady Ravensworth recommended Abigail to her brother, Sir Edward of Scotland Yard, who trained Abigail as an infiltrator and investigator. When he died, no one else at Scotland Yard knew who Abigail was, so Lady Ravensworth recommended her to the Graf to hunt down one of his enemies.
